Dear Marjorie
Just a note to let you know that I am alright, I hope you are O.K.
The scheme did last so long as expected so that made everybody happy. I for one was very happy about the affair. I had one very annoying instance on the scheme, I lost my way and I was five hours trying to find my way, which I did manage to do in the end but it was not until four o'clock in the morning. I had all the blankets aboard my truck so you can imagine how my name was dragged through the mud, although I must say the boys took it in very good part considering how cold and miserable they were, now it is a standing joke. Well darling, I am very pleased to hear that Charles is going to get his ticket, although it makes me feel very lonely being the only soldier left in the army, but still looking on the bright side, I may get my ticket one day of course, that will be at the end of this so and so war. Must close now look after yourself,
Cherrio,

Sydney.
