Dear Marjorie
I arrived safely but was five and an half hours late but as luck would have it the troop was away on a days scheme so when I arrived there was no body to report to hence no body knew what time I arrived. The travelling up was very uncomfortable and I was very glad when I arrived, the weather is hot and is almost like summer. I have taken off my pullover and long John's to help me to keep cool. Well darling I had a good time on leave and I just hated the idea of having to come back but I have settled down very well. I guess my next leave will come round quickly. I hear that we may move at the end of the month to Maidstone in Kent, that would not be a bad move, I guess it would take about four days to get there. Well there is not much more to write about so I guess I will close darling,
Cherrio,
darling,
Sydney.

P.S. tell my folks that I am OK and that I never got into trouble for being late, also hope my Ma's     better.

Syd.
