Just a note to enquire how you are keeping, I received your parcel for which I thank you, the bread pudding was very nice I enjoyed it very much, you may thank my people for the Christmas pudding which was in the parcel. I am pleased you are getting about a bit but be sure and not go out before you are perfectly well. We are still having a lot of snow but it is not so cold the wind has dropped a bit. Today I went into Newcastle with the Sar. Major to do some shopping for the dance which is being held tonight, I guess roll call will be eleven thirty tonight. Has Mrs Dryden heard from her husband yet, it will be alright if Charles does manage to get back to England, I bet he will be pleased. Well darling, I must close now, so look after your self,
Cherrio,

Sydney.
