PLEASE NOTE NEW ADDRESS

Dear Marjorie
I have received your letter and all the parcels you have sent up to date, you mentioned some thing about photos in your letter, well, so far I have not received any photos, so perhaps they have got lost in the post. I am trying to get the second weekend in August for my forty-eight hours pass, but whether I get it or no is a different matter. Well darling I am pleased to hear that you are stepping out these days, it will do you good, and darling I advise you to take every chance you can to get to go out, it will help you to forget what a terrible husband you have got. Regarding you spoiling me darling well, I fail to see that although I admit you are awful good to me, but darling I think you must admit that you should be good to me after all I am your husband and all wives should be good to their husbands. Darling you can write six times a day or more and I shall never tire of reading your letters but perhaps the last thing to do is to write when you don't feel like it, of course make sure that you feel like it at least twice a week, or more if you can, darling I look forward to your letters. Until the end of July and the first week in August we here are on nothing else but schemes and shoots. I assume we are kept well and truly busy so darling if you do not hear from me for a few days you will know the reason why and you might tell my people because I do not suppose I shall be able to write again for quite a little while. I am writing this note while I am manning the anti tank rifle and the rifle is right in the middle of a bush so you can imagine what fun I am having trying to write. I guess I shall have a nap after writing this note. Things seem to be very quiet and the field guns are yards up the sand so I guess I can get a sleep in, quite comfortable, nobody will catch me because there is a deep ditch all around the field and it is full of water. Well darling  I will close now, will write again when I can.
Cherrio,
Syd
