GNR. S.P.NOEL
"E" TROOP 495 FIELD BTY
C/O G.P.O.SAXMUNDHAM

Dear Marjorie
I arrived safely at Sax. Our troop has moved so you can imagine what a trouble I had finding my whereabouts as usual there was no arrangements made for the chaps coming back on leave. We had to hike eight miles and report at B.H.Q. We are sleeping here the night with no bedding of any kind, in other words just lying on the floor.  It is funny but I am feeling O.K. now, all traces of the flu have gone, also the sickness has disappeared. I will close now because it takes me along time to find a board that gives a bit. Tell my people that I arrived safely and am O.K., will write later on darling.
Cherrio,
Syd
